FoSTaC Training by FSSAI
FoSTaC-certified training for food handlers, supervisors and business owners, delivered by FSSAI-approved trainers, so your Food Safety Supervisor requirement (one per 25 handlers) is met and your staff actually understand what they're doing.
What is FoSTaC training?
Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) is a flagship FSSAI initiative designed to raise food safety standards nationwide. Every food business holding a Central or State FSSAI license must employ at least one trained Food Safety Supervisor for every 25 food handlers at a location. Untrained staff remain the single most common cause of the hygiene lapses our hand-swab and microbiological tests later catch.
Equinox Labs delivers FSSAI-approved FoSTaC training through a network of 100+ certified trainers, covering Basic, Advanced and Special modules for canteens, restaurants, catering services, food trucks, manufacturing units, bakeries and hotel and institutional kitchens, online or on-site, with post-training certification support and a track record across 15,000+ food businesses. It complements our Eat Right Campus and GMP/GAP audit programmes, and the trained-supervisor requirement it covers is part of our wider FSSAI compliance support.
Why get your team FoSTaC certified?
FoSTaC isn't just a compliance checkbox. It's a mandatory requirement with real business impact.
- Mandatory compliance. Central and State licence holders must staff one certified supervisor per 25 handlers.
- Consumer safety. Trained staff reduce the risk of Salmonella, E. coli and other foodborne illness transmission.
- Reputation management. Certified teams build credibility and public confidence in your food business.
- Legal protection. Avoid penalties, licence suspension and other regulatory action during an inspection.
