Aadore Sayani has a pleasant smile and a shy feminine grace. She has several tricks up her sleeve that she learnt at Cordon Bleu or while working with celebrity chefs which makes her a class apart chef. After graduating in Psychology – Sociology from St. Xaviers College she went for films and advertising, but it didn’t give her satisfaction. That’s when she started working with Rahul Akerkar’s in 1997 followed by a course in hotel administration and food technology from Sophia’s Polytechnic. After completing her internship with Ratan Tata Institute (RTI), she went to New York for a course in French Culinary techniques.

 

“It all started with a birthday gift”

It all began when she thought of baking a cake as a gift on her grandaunt’s birthday; which was extremely loved by her complete family and they suggested selling them.

“Sleight of Hand, the name is dedicated to my grandfather, Late Hamid Sayani who was a magician and I feel it’s a magic from God and my grandparents who’ve been guiding me on each step. I have used my grandmother’s signature ‘ZHS’ in my logo which stands for Zarina Hamid Sayani.”

Sleight of Hand is celebrated for its gooey chocolatey sensational brownies with more than 36 varieties and a host of other flavors like Semisweet, milk, dark and white. Brownies of pure unadulterated chocolate to fusion with walnuts, hazelnuts, shortbread, almond torte and exotic flavours of coconut, pistachio, marmalade, raspberry, green tea and many more.

Word of mouth began and worked wonders for her. There was absolutely no marketing plan initially; today they’ve started using these online marketing and promotional channels like Zomato. Most satisfactory moment for Aadore is when she’s busy making something innovative or exciting packing for her products and she also loves to interact with her clients. They call her and share what they feel about her products.

Aadore Sayani’s brownies are in demand with the likes of the Ambanis, Rati Godrej and Konkona Sen Sharma.

Made in Mumbai and delivered all over India, catering to a wide range of clientele. To make sure whoever likes the products gets it, they use national and international courier service. Local delivery is done through delivery boys and taxi drivers. Zomato is used for online orders and queries, Place of Origin in Bangalore, Best gifts and Great foods of India are other channels.
